Documents required for Sharjah Tenancy Contract Attestation
Hi to all Residents of Sharjah,
Every year when the time comes to attestation of the Tenancy Contract Attestation, I end up googling to find the right information so that I don't have to struggle with submitting the right documents in front of the counter.
However, unfortunately there are not many websites which provide the exact information and I end up being so much perplexed. But thanks to the patience and goodwill of those who sit at the counter, I always leave from the attestation center having received a good customer experience. So in order not to go through the same struggle on a yearly basis, after I visited the Tahseel in Al Wahda this time, I made it a point to note down all the required documents and other details. Also thought it is good to post it on a blog so that it would be helfpul for all those who are going through the same ordeal.
Below are the documents required once you have the Tenancy Contract in your hand:
1) Original Emirates ID Card
2) Original Tenancy contract with land lord and tenant signature
3) Old/previous Tenancy contract in case of renewal
4) Copy of SEWA Bill or Deposit slip
5) Copy of your Passport and Visa page
6) Copy of your Emirates ID
7) Copy of spouse Passport and Visa page
8) Copy of spouse Emirates ID
Note: Credit Card is not accepted. So please have the cash required for the attestation as per the breakdown given below
As of October 2020, the calculation is as follows for what I had to pay(additional fees may vary according to the center from you do the attestation) :
Total amount:
4% of your Annual Rent+
Dhs.10 for Tasheel Center+
Dhs.40 for Falcon Center services+
Dhs. 10 for Scientific research in Sharjah+
Dhs. 10 for Collection service fees
Dhs. 3 as VAT on Taxable items
Example: My annual rent is 32000Dhs, so I had to pay total Dhs. 1353, out of which Dhs. 1280 is the 4% and the remaining service charge of Dhs. 73
Hope it's helpful
